Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD)
DVUSD is an Arizona ADE "A" district — 93% of its 42 schools received a "B" or higher grade for 2024–25, and all five of its comprehensive high schools received "A" grades. The district serves approximately 32,800 students across North Phoenix, from the Norterra corridor through Anthem and New River. DVUSD neighborhoods: 85085 (Norterra, Sonoran Foothills, North Gateway), 85086/85087 (Anthem, Desert Hills, New River — verify per parcel).

Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD)

All Cave Creek and Carefree addresses feed to Cactus Shadows High School, which has strong AP coursework and a tight-knit community culture.
Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVSchools)
PVSchools serves the Desert Ridge and north Scottsdale corridor. ADE "A" district with academic programming including International Baccalaureate, Mandarin immersion, Spanish immersion, STEAM, and Gifted services. The DVUSD comparison: PVSchools has more specialized program variety; DVUSD has all five high schools rated "A" and more direct access from TSMC-proximate neighborhoods. The key TSMC draw for PVSchools is the Mandarin immersion program — the only public Mandarin immersion option in the commute corridor.
Mandarin Immersion — The Most Important Section for Taiwanese Families
The trade-off: PVSchools addresses (Desert Ridge, 85054/85050) have a 30–40 minute TSMC commute via the 101/303. For dual-commute households — one to TSMC, one to Scottsdale — the geography may work well regardless.
For families who specifically want Mandarin from infancy, Amici Trilingual Montessori offers English/Spanish/Mandarin trilingual immersion. Full private school guide →
